There are five main types of scaffolding used worldwide today. These are tube and coupler (fitting) components, prefabricated modular system scaffold components, H-frame / façade modular system scaffolds, timber scaffolds and bamboo scaffolds .
Tubular scaffold is commonly called tube and coupler scaffold which is a versatile type of scaffold consisting of steel tubes and clamps while it is the most labor-intensive of all scaffolding types. This type of scaffold is generally used where unlimited versatility is required.
